Iranian Pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale.
All the children of Adam form one body, they are of the same essence.
When time afflicts one part of the body with pain, the other parts suffer.
If you don't feel the pain of others, you don't deserve to be called a man.
Saadi of Shiraz, Persian poet and mystic (Iran 1203-1291)
In our exhibition, we tried to push boundaries by inviting visitors to witness the sense of unity of humankind. Sometimes, the result has been achieved through installations that immerse the audience in different contexts, other times with the help of virtual reality that challenges physical boundaries, and occasionally through works of visual art that express new narratives in an innovative and creative way on this topic. However, all this represents only a small piece of the mastery of Iranian artists who, by dismantling borders and walls, convey a message from the heirs of the millenary Iranian civilization sitting on the stones of ancient Venice.
