Mostra del Cinema, Venezia 81, the juries of Orizzonti and Opera Prima have been defined.

Presided by the American director and screenwriter Debra Granik, the Orizzonti International Jury will also be composed of: the Iranian screenwriter, director and producer Ali Asgari.

Ali Asgari, screenwriter, director and producer, born in Tehran, Iran. He is an important Iranian independent director who boasts numerous international awards. Asgari's films focus on precarious lives living on the fringes of society in his home country of Iran. His short films have been screened at important international festivals. His debut film Disappearance had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and its North American premiere at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival. Ta farda, his second film, premiered at the 2022 Berlinale, while Kafka in Tehran, the his third feature film, was presented in the Un Certain Regard section of Cannes in 2023.
